Join us for our Spring 2025 National TM Retreat at Maharishi International University. This retreat will bring together dozens of TM practitioners from all over the country to meditate and learn more about Consciousness in the blissful atmosphere of Fairfield, Iowa—the TM capital of the United States. We are putting together an exciting week of profound knowledge, deep experience, guest speakers, and entertainment.

Special guest speaker: Dr. John Hagelin, Ph.D., renowned quantum physicist, MIU President Emeritus, and TM leader.

Prerequisites: All practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation® technique are welcome to apply. If you have not yet learned TM, please visit TM.org for more information.

Course fee: Course fee: Includes room accommodations, three meals each day, and all morning, afternoon, and evening meetings.

Week-long TM Retreats help to accelerate your personal development.

Extended practice of the TM technique in this special retreat program will provide profound rest and relieve stress on a deeper level. You will go back home rejuvenated and inspired, with a boost in your energy, health, clarity, and happiness for months to come!

This 7-night TM Retreat will start Sunday, May 25 at 5:00 pm and end the following Sunday evening, June 1. Guests are welcome to stay through lunch on Monday. Three all-vegetarian and non-GMO meals are served daily.

In addition, you will enjoy a richer, more intimate and fundamental understanding of the principles and knowledge that underlie the TM program and learn more about Maharishi AyurVeda® and other modalities for personal growth.

Opportunity to Learn an Advanced Technique (AT) of the TM Program while you’re at the retreat, with 50% off the usual AT fee for retreat attendees.

  • If you want to apply for an AT during the retreat, you will need to attend a Zoom Advanced Technique Orientation Meeting before the TM Retreat begins. If you are interested, please contact Wally Devasier at wdevasier@tm.org as soon as possible to arrange this.

  • Where can I contact the organizer of this event with any questions?

  • What is the cancellation/refund policy?
    The refund policy is a 90% refund if cancelled within 30 days of the retreat, 50% within two weeks, 25% within a week, and no refunds one week or closer to retreat. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes “cancel for any reason” coverage. Click here for insurance policies where you can cancel for any reason. (It is best not to book flights until you have been accepted to the course.)
  • What is the deadline to register?
    The last day to register is May 10, 2025.
  • When do I need to arrive?
    We recommend arriving between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm Sunday, May 25. All retreat participants are required to attend the Orientation Meeting at 8:00 pm on May 25. The retreat officially ends after the evening meeting on Sunday, June 1, but you are welcome to stay until after lunch on Monday, June 2.
  • Will I have a private bathroom?
    All of the rooms at the MIU Guest and Conference Center have a private bathroom.
  • Can a non-retreat participant stay in my room with me?
    No, only registered retreat participants can stay at the retreat facility. If you have a friend or family member who would like to stay in a retreat room with you, we encourage them to learn the TM technique and attend as a TM Retreat participant.
  • Can I bring my non-service animal?
    For the smooth conduct of the retreat, we can only accept service animals.
  • Do I have to meditate sitting on the floor?
    No, we recommend sitting comfortably while practicing TM. For most people this means sitting comfortably in a chair or on a bed with back support.
  • Will you be able to accommodate my diet restrictions?
    We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. We can easily accommodate vegans and vegetarians, but there will be no meat served on the retreat. Please reach out to NationalTMRetreats@miu.edu if you have additional concerns or questions regarding diet.
